Seeking Media Buyer, Client Claims; Agency Says It Knows Better
ATLANTA–Merchant’s Tire is in the final stages of an agency search to replace Siddall Matus & Coughter, according to sources. The Richmond, Va., shop has held the automotive retail and service chain’s account for the past year.
Merchant’s director of marketing, Tara Rosenberger, denied that the company was seeking a creative source for its account.
“We’re looking for a media buyer,” Rosenberger claimed. “[Creative] has always been handled internally.”
“That’s not consistent with our experience,” countered agency chairman John Siddall, who said his agency was initially hired for “solely creative” work.
