Medical Group Consolidates at Austin Kelley

ATLANTA Austin Kelley Advertising has won its third account of the new year. The Atlanta Interpublic Group shop has secured the Piedmont Medical Center account, following a review against a handful of undisclosed contenders that began in November, according to the agency.

AKA president and CEO Jay Shields said PMC, which includes Atlanta-area facilities Piedmont Hospital, Fayette Community Hospital and the Piedmont Physicians Group, was looking to consolidate its advertising with one agency. Previous work had been handled by various agencies and media buying services on a project basis.

AKA will develop a rebranding campaign scheduled to break in mid-year. Billings are estimated at $1 million. The agency will work with its public relations partner, Golin/Harris, here.

Shields said the agency's 10-year relationship with Northside Hospital and its partnership with Golin/Harris on Georgia's Tobacco Use Prevention account helped secure the win.
