Fifteen-year advertising/entertainment-industry veteran Kris Coontz has been promoted to president of Grey Entertainment and MediaCom Los Angeles, one of the country's largest independent strategic media planning and buying agencies. In his new roles, Coontz will be responsible for managing all operations for the two California divisions. Formerly evp, entertainment marketing of MediaCom U.S., Coontz was responsible for managing the successful launches of Warner Bros. films such as A Perfect Storm, as well as many home video releases and WB TV programs. Coontz will continue to lead the Warner Bros. account.
