Little-known McLaughlin, DelVecchio & Casey has begun contract negotiations with the Connecticut Office of Tourism for its advertising and public relations account.

The account is worth $6 million over the next 22 months.

To win the high-profile assignment, MDC in New Haven, Conn. overcame bids from in-state agencies Mintz & Hoke, Avon, Lang/Durham & Co., Hartford, and Madigan Pratt & Associates, Darien

A contract between the state and MDC will likely be signed in the next few weeks.
