McKinney & Silver's Don Maurer Dies in Auto Accident

Don Maurer, president and chief executive officer of McKinney & Silver, died Saturday, Oct. 20 in a single-car automobile accident in Raleigh, N.C. He was 47.

Maurer joined the Raleigh, North Carolina-based agency in 1996 as a group account director. One year later, Maurer was named to the top position as only the third CEO in the agency’s 28-year history.

“Don Maurer’s passion for McKinney & Silver was limitless,” said Cameron McNaughton, senior vice president and director of client services.
