Amid much acrimony, Barclay Layman has joined McKay Fried Communications as creative director of the 35-person shop’s newly formed interactive business division.
Layman reports to agency partner and chief operating officer David McGillicuddy, who adds the title of managing director of McKay Fried Interactive. Layman served for the past two years as creative director of Silverweave Interactive in Boston.
Layman’s departure has caused consternation because he took some staffers and a client with him to McKay Fried, said Silverweave president Shayne Gilbert.
