CHICAGO -- Fallon creative director Peter McHugh will join Amsterdam-based 180 as executive creative director at the end of the month, the agency said.
McHugh once before left Fallon, joining what was then Hal Riney & Partners/Heartland in Chicago as ECD in February 1998. He returned to Fallon three months later, citing new business momentum at his former agency and a discomfort at uprooting his family. Riney was sold to Publicis in the midst of his term there, which several sources suggested was another major reason for his quick return to Minneapolis.
McHugh joined Fallon in 1995, having served as TBWA\Chiat\Day's ECD in Toronto. TBWA\C\D and 180 recently teamed to win creative duties on Adidas's $80 to100 million global account, and 180 is expected to be acquired by TBWA\C\D.
