ATLANTA McKinney Communications Group has added the North Carolina Symphony to its client roster, the agency said.

The public relations unit of Havas-owned McKinney + Silver in Raleigh, N.C., will first immerse itself in the culture of the primarily state-funded orchestra before developing a public relations program. Financial details were undisclosed.

According to client president and CEO David Chambless Worters, the nonprofit needs a single brand identity throughout the state and beyond the region.

“It’s easy to assume that everyone [in North Carolina] knows what you’re all about and what you stand for, but it’s not true,” he said.
