LOS ANGELES – McCann-Erickson here picked up the $5-million U.S. and Latin American portions of the $30-million Cathay Pacific Airlines account awarded to the agency’s Worldwide office in Hong Kong last week.
The review, which came down to a battle between McCann and Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, involved the offices of both agencies in 22 markets. M-E/L.A. senior vp John Thompson, who will serve as one of four regional directors on the account, said a video his office created was part of the winning pitch.
