TORONTO – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company/Canada has ‘severed’ its relationship with McCann-Erickson Worldwide in this country, according to Ian McIntosh, general manager/consumer marketing. McIntosh said that the roughly $7-million account will go on hiatus for a few weeks until the client decides what type of marketing approach it wants to take. ‘Our needs have been changing and we have to figure out what those needs are,’ said McIntosh. When Goodyear is ready, it will start talking to agencies within the local ad community here who can provide a ‘more tactical marketing approach.’
