CHICAGO–McCann-Erickson and Burger King have parted ways on the fast-food giants $400 million account, sources said.

The New York shop won creative duties on the adult consumer portion of the account in December and produced a campaign that launched in March tagged, “Where the Whopper is King.” Its sibling agency, Campbell Mithun in Minneapolis, won the children’s consumer part of the account in January. It was not clear if that portion of the business is affected, sources said.
