NEW YORK — McCann-Erickson Worldwide has acquired Sprint’s ION account, estimated at $25-30 million, from D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles without a review.

Sprint ION is a residential integrated communications system that allows users to run applications such as email, voicemail, fax, phone calls and videoconferencing through a single connection in their homes at up to 100 times faster than conventional modems.

“We were looking at all of our agency resources and felt we needed to consolidate our advertising functions,” said Claudia Moore, interim director of marketing for Sprint’s long-distance services.
