McCann Era Ends In Atlanta

The offices of the former McCann-Erickson in Atlanta officially closed last week, putting the stamp on a merger completed last February between that agency and Fitzgerald & Co., also in Atlanta.
The site at 615 Peachtree became dormant as about 85 staff members moved to Buckhead Plaza, where the combined Interpublic-owned entity known as Fitzgerald will be housed.
The $130 million shop was formed when both agencies approved the deal that brought Fitzgerald under the aegis of the Interpublic Group of Cos. Fitzgerald's Dave Fitzgerald is president and chief executive officer and former McCann executive vice president and general manager Clisby Clarke is chairman.
The agency's clients include Coca-Cola, Aflac Assurance and Durex.
