McCann Brings Wingate Aboard as Senior Planner

Shoring up its management team beyond the Microsoft account, McCann-Erickson has hired a new executive vice president.

Barbara Wingate, 44, was named evp and senior planner at the San Francisco agency. She replaces Irina Kozhevnikoff-Heirakuji, who left to pursue other interests. Among the brands Wingate will work on are Del Monte and Supercuts.

“I’m a product of a large international agency, and I like being part of that type of agency,” Wingate said. “[McCann] has always been very attractive to me because the creative department is one of the best in the business.
