DALLAS Peter A. Mayer Advertising received the most honors at last week's New Orleans Addy Awards presentation. Other top winners included Zehnder Communications and Keating Magee Advertising.
Mayer won a total of 76 Addys from the Advertising Club of New Orleans at the Friday ceremony. The shop took home 30 gold and 46 silver awards. Mayer's gold-winning entries were for the Audubon Nature Institute, New Orleans Jazz Orchestra and Elmer's Candy Corp., which also won best of show (multi-media) for a mixed-media campaign.
Another top winner was Zehnder Communications with 30 Addys (14 gold, 16 silver). The agency won two golds and four silver citations for a multi-media campaign created for Keep Louisiana Beautiful, a statewide anti-litter initiative that gave a voice to underutilized garbage cans. Zehnder also received three gold and two silver awards for an animated promotional video on behalf of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside.
Keating Magee Advertising took home 26 Addys (12 gold, 14 silver). Gold Addys were awarded to the shop's work for House of Blues, Rubenstein's and Dixie Beer, which also won best of show (print) for its poster campaign.
Other big winners included Trumpet, which received a special judges award for a Turner South collateral piece, and Morrison Productions, which won best of show (broadcast) for ProHealth Care.
