Peter A. Mayer Ad-vertising has been retained as lead agency for the Louisiana Office of Tourism.

The New Orleans shop has successfully defended the tourism account since 1993. No other agencies participated in the state-mandated review, sources said.

Louisiana has increased its ad-vertising budget this year. Billings for 2002-03 are estimated at $7 million, according to sources.

“We are very confident that Mayer will continue building on the successful platform that has been the hallmark of their work,” said Phillip Jones, secretary of culture, recreation and tourism for the state.
