NEW YORK – Seeking to calm member banks’ concerns that it is becoming the brand of choice for non-bankers, MasterCard last week named an executive from its rank and file as its top marketer. The nation’s No. 2 credit card brand tapped Daniel Murray, Chemical Bank’s top credit card marketer, as senior vp/marketing, effective Jan 19. Murray fills a vacancy created when Keith Kendrick resigned last April to take a similar position at AT&T’s Universal credit card operation.
