ATLANTA Trahan Burden & Charles has retained the Maryland Tourism Account, the client said.

Maryland Tourism representative Debbie Cronister confirmed that the state review panel has issued a notification of recommendation naming the Baltimore shop as lead agency.

The five-year incumbent prevailed over Carton Donofrio, Eisner Communications and The Campbell Group, all in Baltimore.

Billings are estimated at $8 million for a three-year contract, down from $11 million.

The state had also issued requests for proposal for the state’s business development advertising, but, according to Cronister, that portion of the account has been eliminated.
