Well-traveled agency executive Fred Martins has joined Leary & Tiziani as creative director.

Martins will oversee the Sharon, Mass., agency’s work for technology and industrial clients including Invensys, Protedyne, Cognex and Spectro Analytical BioNova.

Martins’ high comfort level with these types of complex accounts, as well as his track record at tech-focused shops, made him a good fit, according to Leary & Tiziani CEO Bob Tiziani.

Martins succeeds David Izzi at the 25-person agency. Izzi left several weeks ago.

Martins had been freelancing after working from 1999-2001 as creative director at Rainier, a marketing shop in Princeton, Mass.
