Two agencies owned by MARC USA are changing their names, effective immediately.

Ryan Drossman/MARC USA here and K&R/MARC USA in Chicago will now each be known simply as MARC USA. The independent agency network seeks to strengthen its brand identity with the name changes.

In a statement, MARC USA chairman and CEO Tony Bucci said, "We are a national agency with one brand and strategically located offices throughout the country. It has been our intention to operate as MARC USA in all of our cities. The start of a new year seemed like an ideal time to make the change."

MARC USA is based in Pittsburgh and has additional offices in Detroit, Dallas, Miami, Indianapolis and Orlando.

Both the New York and Chicago offices recently made top management changes. Bob Needleman was promoted to president of the New York office, replacing Matt Ryan, who left last year for a MARC USA online venture. Needleman, 46, remains co-creative director with Neil Drossman. In Chicago, Gary Young, 45, was promoted to president from svp, director of client services. He replaces William Keroff, who retired.

MARC USA claims $670 million in annual billings and has 500 employees.
