NEW YORK Manischewitz plans to tap into the growing popularity of kosher foods among mainstream consumers with the launch this spring of several products with wide appeal, backed by the brand’s most significant push since a TV effort in the 1960s saw Sammy Davis Jr. declare, “Man-oh-Manischewitz.”

The company will invest about $4 million in national print and possibly TV, now in development via Kellam Montgomery & Phillips in New York. Creative will break this summer in general interest and gourmet titles behind noodles, soups and macaroons.
