Siddall, Matus & Coughter of Richmond, Va., has landed three new accounts totaling more than $14 million.
The largest piece of business is shopping mall developer Glimcher Properties of Columbus, Ohio, which will spend $8-10 million. SM&C will promote that client’s mega-mall set to open later this year in Elizabeth, N.J.
“This is going to be a slightly upscale version of outlet shopping . . . nearly two million square feet . . . with top designers like Donna Karan and some new designers [to this type of mall] that will really surprise people when we make the announcement next fall,” said agency chairman John Siddall.
Glimcher chose SM&C after hearing pitches from the shop and several unnamed mall marketers and seeing a campaign for another shopping center.
