Via said it has hired Ryan Shimala as an account manager. He will work primarily on Banknorth. Shimala joins the Portland, Maine, agency following almost two years as a project manager at Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett in Chicago, where he worked on accounts including Starbucks, Walt Disney and Bank One. “His agency and television production experience make him a great addition,” said Via principal Rich Rico. Prior to Burnett, Shimala worked at Havas’ Brann in Chicago for four years in various account service and traffic positions.
