Maine Hospital Launches TV Push

BOSTON TV commercials from Rattle Advertising attempt to persuade families in the seacoast resort area of Southern Maine that York Hospital offers the same advanced technology and skilled staff as big-city medical centers located an hour or more away.

Rattle, an indpendent agency in Somerville, Mass., has produced a trio of 30-second spots. "MRI" focuses on the hospital's sophisticated imaging and diagnostic equipment; "ER" highlights the training and abilities of the facility's trauma teams; "Surgery" touts the staff's ability to perform complicated procedures.

The ads show patients of all ages interacting with doctors and nurses as a voiceover and onscreen graphics describe the hospital's commitment to service and care. The tagline is "Making unbelievable experiences happen."

The budget was not disclosed but is likely in the $500,000-1 million range; the ads will air on network and cable stations in Maine through the summer.

Rich Swietek served as creative director and copywriter, Joe Higgins handled art direction and Mark Lanoue was the agency producer. Kevin Moore served as editor and director.
