NEW YORK Mad Dogs & Englishmen will close its doors on May 31, according to co-founder and managing partner Robin Hafitz.

The shop has been teetering on the brink of closure since last month, when it shuttered its San Francisco office and told its landlord to put the New York headquarters space on the market after top client Atkins Nutritionals cut spending [Adweek, May 2].

It is unclear where the shop’s remaining clients, which include Atkins, sports clothing line CW-X and Grand Marnier, will go.
