NEW YORK Omnicom Group’s BBDO said it has hired Mark Goldstein as evp, managing director, effective March 7.

Goldstein joins from Interpublic Group’s Lowe in New York, where he was global chief marketing officer. He also held the CMO title at a larger IPG unit known as The Partnership.

He resigned from Lowe last month and sources had said he was heading to BBDO [Adweek Online, Feb. 25].

The Partnership, which also includes Draft and Zipatoni, is being phased out, and the executive who hired Goldstein, then worldwide CEO Jerry Judge, was replaced in November by Tony Wright.
