NEW YORK Chris Chard, Leo Burnett’s regional planning director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has joined Lowe in the new global post of chief strategy officer, Lowe said.

Chard, 41, will divide his time between existing clients and new business development, according to Interpublic Group’s Lowe. He is expected to start within the next month.

“His breadth of multinational brand experience with clients like P&G, Mars confectionary and Ford make him the perfect fit for our clients, which include Unilever, Nestle and Saab,” said Lowe worldwide CEO Tony Wright, to whom Chard will report.
