SAN FRANCISCO — Citing a soft market and dearth of news business opportunities, Lowe Lintas & Partners, here, will close effective immediately, U.S. Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Gary Goldsmith said in a statement. Goldsmith said a dramatic softening in the San Francisco economy and cuts in ad spending necessitated the shutdown.

The San Francisco office will close after it “fulfills work obligations on its existing accounts.”

Lowe Lintas & Partners, San Francisco, opened in April, 1997.
