The Lord Group has restructured its creative department into three groups and promoted Michael Scardino to chief creative officer in an effort to retain talent.
Scardino, 50, served as co-creative director with Michael Hampton. Hampton, 55, plans to retire Dec. 31 but is expected to stay on as a consultant.
As chief creative officer, Scardino oversees 26 staffers and manages a client group that includes KeyCorp and The Wiz.
“I love helping people and kind of being a mentor,” said Scardino, a 24-year advertising veteran who has been at the New York shop since 1994.
