With no shops hitting the mark in what could have been final pitches, Long John Silver’s has set up another round of meetings with agencies competing for its $20 million broadcast creative business.

Cliff Freeman and Partners apparently fell farther short of the client’s expectations than the others during presentations the week of May 20. The New York shop was dropped from the review last week.

“We just thought the other three [contenders] brought thinking and ideas closer to what we were looking for,” said Mike Baker, vice president of national advertising for the Louisville, Ky.-based
