BOSTON — LoJack, the maker of stolen car recovery systems, has named two New England shops and one from New York as finalists in its agency search.

Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos of Boston and Mullen, Wenham, Mass., have advanced, along with Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners, New York. The three shops will make creative presentations in mid-November with a decision scheduled shortly thereafter. Consulting company Pile and Co. is managing the process for the Dedham, Mass., client, which spent $6 million on ads in 2000 but is likely to spend $10-12 million next year as it looks to expand beyond its regional base.
