The Lodge Finds Barter Smarter

The Lodge, a newly formed group of young creative ad professionals and marketing students, has struck a barter deal with Here, a lounge/arts center.





Since Here, located next door to Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners' offices in New York, needs an image campaign and the young folks at The Lodge need a project to work on and place to meet, the two decided to trade their needs and skills.





For the past few weeks, young creative types from rival agencies have collaborated on taglines, logos and direct mail pieces for Here (and, ultimately, for their portfolios). Joining them were record company art directors, illustrators and sculptors.





The Lodge president Andrew Van Hook (shown here), who most recently freelanced for Kirshenbaum, said, 'We're trying to push this (assignment) conceptually as far as we can. That's what Here is all about.'





Here should make a decision on the project by late summer.
