In an effort to expand its U.S. presence, LinkGuard, a Maidenhead, England-based technology company that is creating a map of more than 100 billion links on the Web, has received $3.3 million in venture funding from a consortium led by Reuters Greenhouse Fund.

LinkGuard will use the funds to forge partnerships with U.S.-based search engines, e-commerce companies and ISPs looking to improve the stickiness of their sites and retain visitors, according to Franck Jeannin, founder and CEO.
