As if asking for his girlfriend's hand in marriage weren't nerve-racking enough, Nate Marriner decided to do it with the cameras rolling. The latest eHarmony.com TV spot from Donat/Wald of Santa Monica, Calif., captures Marriner's real-life on-set proposal to Angela Stizza, who was taken by surprise—and who, thank goodness, said yes.

The pair met through the online dating service, and were already scheduled to appear in the spot. But Marriner had grander plans. He arranged with eHarmony to surprise Stizza, arrived with an engagement ring in his pocket, and made his speech as the crew taped. "Without any question," he says in the finished spot, "I will love you for the rest of my life. And so I could not be happier than at any point than to be able to ask you if you would do me the honor ..."—he bends to his knee, and Stizza starts giggling with shock—"... of becoming my wife." She says yes, and they hug, as the crew laugh and applaud.

"We were delighted when we heard Nate's plan," says Dr. Neil Clark Warren, the grandfatherly statesman who also appears in the ads. "Our goal is to help couples capture the joy and wonder of a great relationship." Adds Lucas Donat, CEO of Donat/Wald: "It was a sincere and touching moment, and we were pleased to be a part of it."
