CLEVELAND – Liggett-Stashower here beat the odds and retained its $20-million Cole Vision Corp. business, after the client heard pitches from three other agencies. ‘They showed us some critical and tactical thinking at a higher level,’ said Scott Drum, vp/marketing for Cole Vision. ‘It was really more of a business strategy issue rather than a creative issue.’ Foote, Cone & Belding/Chicago; J. Walter Thompson/Detroit; and W.B. Doner/Southfield, Mich. all pitched the business. Meanwhile, Liggett-Stashower also pulled in the $1-million Dairy Mart business last week.
