A picture may be worth a thousand words, but a thousand pictures is worth an ad campaign.

In new print and outdoor advertising for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, Harris Drury Cohen created a mosaic containing 1,000 photographs of life on the beach.

Composed by senior art director David Garcia at the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., shop, the image tiles were superimposed over separate silhouettes of a beach wall, convention center and a woman in a wide-brimmed sun hat.

Graphic artist Mike Jenkins toggled between Photoshop and Photomontage to marry both sets of visuals. "Montage selects the tiles based on a range of lights and darks within the silhouettes," said Jenkins. Montage, he added, is a program usually used for low-resolution images. "We made it work for print by cutting back and forth intoPhotoshop."

Copy, written by Terri Fabel, states: "It's not about getting away. It's about getting to."
