Looking to dramatically increase its success in pitches, J. Walter Thompson here has named Roman Lesnau new business director.
Lesnau most recently served as director of international development on the agency’s Ford Motor Co. account.
The new business post had been vacant for over two years. Chris Grindem, head of the agency’s retail group, had been leading some of JWT’s new business efforts informally. Steve Brown, executive vice president and general manager of the agency, said the post needed a permanent replacement.
“We tried to run it with existing staff and frankly, it just doesn’t work,” Brown said.
