NEW YORK Layoffs have begun at the 300-plus New York office of D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, sources said, beginning with at least five creative and account people. The downsizing will continue on Friday and into next week, sources said. The exact number of people affected could not immediately be determined, but sources said that in all, up to 200 people could be let go from D’Arcy [Adweek, Nov. 11].
D’Arcy is being dissolved in the coming weeks, and its accounts have been parceled out to its Publicis Groupe sibling agencies.
