Lawrence & Mayo in Newport Beach, Calif., recently moved into sparkling new digs designed by Gensler Design and Planning Worldwide, also in Newport Beach. But the building the agency’s 34 staffers now call home wasn’t always so inviting: It used to house the agency’s former bank.
“They didn’t think we were good enough to give us a business loan when we started out in our little offices,” said Lynda Lawrence, agency principal and creative director.
