BOSTON Ron Lawner, a key figure in the New England creative community for three decades, said he would exit Havas’ Arnold at year’s end.

Lawner, 58, has been vice chairman and global creative chief at the agency here since March, when one of his longtime lieutenants, Pete Favat, was named CCO and tasked with overseeing the shop’s creative output [Adweek Online, March 8]. Given Favat’s ascension, Lawner’s impending departure was not unexpected.

Lawner, who has been at Arnold and its precursor agencies for 25 years, said he is leaving to find “a little more flexibility” to pursue other interests.
