CHICAGO Lands’ End has hired former Galyan’s executive Ed Whitehead as its new chief marketing officer.

Lands’ End, a subsidiary of Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Hoffman Estates, Ill., uses Havas’ McKinney + Silver in Raleigh, N.C., as its lead agency.

The client spent $25 million on ads last year, according to TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.

Whitehead was formerly vice president of marketing for sporting-goods retailer Galyan’s, and was founder and chief operating officer of brand consultancy Workshop.
