LOS ANGELES – With $19.2 million in political advertising volume on local TV stations, L.A. was the leading political ad spending market in the country in 1992, according to the Television Bureau of Advertising. Political ad volume on the broadcast networks and local TV stations hit a record high of $300 million nationwide for the year. The number includes presidential, state and local election ad dollars.
