NEW YORK–The musical chairs at Hearst Magazines’ women’s titles finally came to a screeching halt on Monday with the hiring of Redbook’s new editor in chief, Ellen Kunes, the launch editor of O, The Oprah Magazine and onetime Redbook executive editor.

Kunes, who rejoins the monthly on Aug. 13, succeeds Lesley Jane Seymour, who recently replaced Glenda Bailey, newly named Harper’s Bazaar editor, at the U.S. edition of Marie Claire.

Hearst Magazines President Cathie Black shook up her editorial roster last month after dismissing Kate Betts as Bazaar editor.
