Call It Bonding, Saatchi Style.
During a recent visit to the West Coast, Saatchi & Saatchi's brash new worldwide chief executive, Kevin Roberts (shown here), headed out for a night on the town with the top managers from the agency's two Southern California offices.
Instead of going to a swanky restaurant, though, the group scored tickets for a show at the El Rey theater on Wilshire Boulevard--featuring one of New Zealander Roberts' passions, Bob Dylan.
Yes, Scott Gilbert, Joe McDonagh and Joe Cronin of Saatchi & Saatchi in Torrance and Leonard Pearlstein and Tom Cordner of Team One Advertising in El Segundo stood throughout the legendary folk singer's entire performance.
Luckily for the group, there was no earthquake that could have left Saatchi leaderless. "One bad piece of hash and we all would have been dead," noted Gilbert. "It was a long night standing up. But Dylan was worth it."
