While some may liken advertising to child’s play, child author—and former Fallon Minneapolis group creative director—Tom Lichtenheld notes there is one big difference.

“Unlike advertising, there’s nobody talking about continuity” in children’s books Lichtenheld said.

Lichtenheld, whose first book Everything I Know About Pirates was named one of the best children’s books last year by Newsweek, has left day-to-day agency life to write more books (though he will continue to freelance). He is currently finishing work on Everything I Know About Monsters and has contracts for two more books.
