BOSTON — Keyspan Energy has chosen Cossette Post for its advertising account following a review, a client representative said.

The client has spent $3-5 million on annually on ads in recent years, per CMR.

Cossette Post, a 75-person independent in New York, takes over from shuttered crosstown shop Earle Palmer Brown. Other contenders were not disclosed but sources said the Brooklyn, N.Y.-based client looked at smaller shops throughout the Northeast.

Cossette Post will develop TV, print and radio ads that will run in New England and metropolitan New York, with the shop’s first work slated to break in January.
