CHICAGO Kellogg on Wednesday named Alan Harris, formerly president of the company’s international division, chief marketing and customer officer, overseeing global marketing, sales, nutrition, innovation and business development.

In the new post, Harris will report to David Mackay, president and chief operating officer of the Battle Creek, Mich., company. Harris will continue to oversee the company’s Asian and Australian divisions.

Kellogg’s global advertising budget is estimated at $500 million. The company’s lead U.S. advertising agency is Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett in Chicago.
