Kansas City Power & Light will spend a couple of months studying its ad needs before it contacts agencies about its $2 million advertising account, a company representative said.

The utility company split with its agency of three years, Kirshenbaum, Bond & Partners in New York, by “mutual agreement,” said KCP&L representative Tom Robinson. Before contacting agencies, however, company officials will need to determine what they might need from an outside agency, he said.

“It’s going to be a few months before we decide what we’re going to do,” Robinson said.
