Erin Johnson has been appointed director of corporate communications at JWT in New York. She will report to co-presidents Rosemarie Ryan and Ty Montague, and will work closely with the worldwide communications team, headed by Marian Salzman, executive vice president, director of strategic content, JWT Worldwide. Johnson joins JWT from The Kaplan Thaler Group in New York, where she was director of KTG Buzz. At KTG Buzz, she conceived and executed nontraditional marketing programs for U.S. Bank, Aflac and TBS, among others. Prior to that, Johnson was director of corporate communications at Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners. During her six-year tenure, she was responsible for managing corporate communications for the agency's New York and San Francisco offices and its various units, including The Media Kitchen, Dotglu and LIME Public Relations + Promotion. For LIME, Johnson worked on accounts including Puma, Stolichnaya, Timex, Meow Mix, Rockport, Wynn Resorts and the Sci-Fi Channel. Prior to KB+P, she spent three years in the publicity department at Miramax as part of the launch team for films like Scream, Good Will Hunting, Sling Blade, Jackie Brown and The English Patient.
