NEW YORK JWT said Nicholas Read would take on a new, expanded position as CFO of the Americas, a job incorporating all North and Latin American operations at the agency.
Read, 43, had been COO of the WPP Group agency's Latin American operations for the past three years.
Oscar Laino, 47, has been promoted from CFO at JWT Argentina to regional finance director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
JWT global CFO Lew Trencher said in a statement, "Much of the recent redefinition of JWT's business strategy in Latin America has been the result of Nick Read's efforts."
"As I move into my expanded role, Oscar Laino will be my trusted partner, working closely with me as we have for five years," Read said. "He joined JWT during the economic crisis in Argentina, and he helped steer the business to its preeminent place today."
